Homemade Green Tea Ice Cream (No Churn)

I hope none of you feel sick with my new post. Another green tea episode *grin*. As I once told you sometimes ago, I am a matcha green tea big fan! I make anything from matcha and never getting tired of it.

This ice cream is a fantastic treat for sunny days, it has incredibly soft texture and quite strong green tea flavor. Not too sweet, just the way I like it. But it melt easily as I am not adding any other chemical related ingredients. So I dare to say that it is a healthy homemade ice cream.

It is super easy to make, and you don't even need to re-blend them every 2 hours. But if you want to blend it again it will be your choice. I bet it will make it even fluffier.

Ingredients :

1/3 can of white sweet condensed milk
250 ml uht cream
150 ml plain milk
3-4 tsp green tea powder*
1 tbsp maizena

*Matcha green tea powder has so many varieties, so the taste, color, and fragrant will be depending on which brand you choose. Some is more bitter, greener and flavourful than the others. This also related to how much sugar you need to use.

Methods :

1. In a pan, pour the sweet condensed milk, add in the matcha green tea powder using fine strainer. DO NOT SKIP THIS STAGE. Green tea tends to have some lumps, so straining the powder is VERY important. Mix well. Turn on the stove, low heat. Add the plain milk.
2. Take few spoon of mixture, and mix well with maizena. Add in the maizena mixture and bring to the boil. Turn off heat. Let cool completely.
3. In a mixing bowl, beat the uht cream using hand-mixer, speed 4, until fluffy (appx 3 minutes). Be careful do not over mix, it might turns into butter!
4. Add the green tea mixture, mix again using high speed for about 5 minutes. Move to another leak-proof bowl or loaf pan covered with aluminium foil. Put it on your refrigerator overnight. Ready to serve.

Green Tea Muffin

 Green tea never fails me.

I have posted a matcha green tea muffin before, but this one is different kind of muffin, I use regular all purpose flour, and I don't use cream cheese filling. Just a simple, regular, humble muffin.

Still special tho, with the amount of green tea I use :D. Even when it still in the oven, I already taste the green tea on my taste bud.

Ingredients :

200 gr all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp green tea powder *

*Matcha green tea powder has so many varieties, so the taste, color, and fragrant will be depending on which brand you choose. Some is more bitter, greener and flavourfull than the others. This also related to how much sugar you need to use.

125 gr plain yogurt
175 gr caster sugar
1 large egg
80 gr oil/butter, or mix the two to get both fragrant and moist texture.

HOW TO :
1. Mix all the dry ingredients. set aside
2. Mix all the wet ingredients, then add in the dry ingredients with flour strainer/shifter. Do not skip this stage, as green tea may have small lumps without fine shifter! Mix with balloon whisker just until the ingredients look well combined. Do not mix it too long, it will make the muffin though.
3. Spoon the mixture to muffin cups, bake at 180 degree C for about 20-30 minutes, depending on your oven.

Steamed Matcha Green Tea Blondies

Heyyya all, been a while since my last post. Been lazy and busy too :P

It all started when I got sick for about 3 weeks. On and off kind of sickness :( Of course it changes my entire activity. I bake a few times, but its mostly simple things that I've been doing many times. So I don't have to feel guilty not to take shots or post the thing I bake.

I loooooove matcha green tea. I love how it smells. And I believe many things can be created with this powder. Until now, I make a few recipe with this magic powder, and many things in my plan is about to come soon :D Check out this recipe of Matcha Green Tea Cookie.

This matcha blondies is a darling in our family. I actually make this 3 times in 2 weeks! However I only got a chance to take photos on my 3rd trial! The 1st and 2nd, all gone before I even spare the time to take some shots. The blondies smells wonderful to my nose. Addictive it is. It's soft and moist and very fragrant. My younger son eats 4-5 pieces in a row. He keeps munching over the blondies until he feels enough!

The recipe is the same as my previous Steamed pandan blondies. This time I use green tea powder instead of pandan paste.

Matcha Green Tea Cookie

Terpaksa? lha iya, saya kan malasss baking kukis, pegel2 booooow. Enakkan bikin muffin or banana bread kan :P *malas tingkat tinggi*

2 3/4 cup terigu all purpose
1 sdt baking soda (saya pakai 3/4 saja)
1/2 sdt baking powder (saya kurangin lagi jadi 1/4)
1 cup butter, suhu ruang
1 1/2 cups gula (saya hanya pakai 1 1/4)
1 butir telur
1 sdt vanilla extract
2 1/2 sdt matcha green tea powder

cara pembuatan :

1. Panasi oven suhu 190 dercel (saya pake otang tanpa termometer, jadi kira2 saja deh, hehe)

Sisihkan

Kuenya gak jadi kue lebaran deh. Udah keburu tinggal sisa2 aja. Tp seneng jadinya, krn artinya enaaaak.

Matcha Green Tea Muffin with cream cheese

Matcha Green Tea Cream Cheese Muffins
source : happy home baker

Ingredients:

150g cream cheese, suhu ruang (saya pake cuma sktr 80 gr, creamcheese sisa baking kemarin2)
15g gula halus

85g unsalted butter, suhu ruang
100g gula pasir
1 butir telur ukuran besar, kocok sedikit
145g tepung protein rendah
5g matcha green tea powder (saya pakai 2 sdt)
1 sdt baking powder
sejumput garam
80ml susu cair
choco chips

Method:
  • Masukkan telur sedikit2, sambil diaduk rata
  • Ayak tepung, bubuk green tea dan baking powder diatas adonan butter, aduk rata dengan spatula
  • tambahkan garam, aduk.

*aneh*
kalo info dari asal, bulatan cream cheese dimasukan setelah adonan diisi 1/2 cup, baru ditimpa lagi dengan sisa adonan muffin. Nah happy home baker, mengikuti asal resep plek, 1/2 cup adonan muffin, cream cheese, baru adonan muffin lagi, hasilnya ngga ada kopong, tp terlalu ke atas posisinya, jadi dia sarankan untuk diisi 1/3 cup dulu. Ternyata hasilnya jadi kopong tuh :( tp rasanya tetep enaaak kok. Green tea banget!
